Fiji Trip

March 11, 2013 by laceyswartz 2 Comments

Now that it’s officially public news, I can put up a quick blog post announcement…  🙂

Last Wednesday night, I’m standing in the spice aisle of the grocery store to get cumin for my husband, who was at home making chili, when my cell phone rings…

It was Jacqui from Miessence’s Home Office calling to tell me that I won their Birthday Blast contest – and an all expense paid trip to Fiji this fall!

Wow…  Wow!  I’m humbled, shocked, excited, thankful, and so blessed.  🙂

If you’ve followed any of my posts/articles about Sustainable Network Marketing, you know that I’m really passionate about a zero hype, zero pressure business culture.   One of the best parts about this Fiji trip is the amazing feeling I have knowing that not one new customer or team member was “stalked” or “hyped” into an order for this.  Everyone found me in various ways, off or online, all genuinely excited to try Miessence’s products, and it was (and is) an honor to serve each one to that end.

A growing number of companies out there claim that their personal care and cosmetic products are “certified organic” – implying truly, totally, 100% natural and clean – when they are either a- actually NOT certified organic at all (they may just use some certified organic ingredients along with synthetics), or b- certified to a cosmetic organic standard that allows synthetic chemicals that would never be allowed in food grade standards.

When you hear a “certified organic” claim, you really have to ask, “Certified organic by whom and to what standards exactly?”

It is such an honor to work with a company that has:

– Ingredients, labels, and certifications to back up their organic claims;
– Clear, upfront, & no-hype education on which products meet which standards and why;
– A genuine heart and mission to support sustainable living in every way possible; AND
– Fantastic products that work so, so well.

Thank you all for being part of my crazy fun journey of life, ministry, and business.  I so greatly appreciate each and every subscriber, referral, customer, and business partner from all over the world.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Most sincerely,
Lacey 🙂

Cambodia Report

I’ve been home for nearly two weeks, and I’m just not sure how to communicate everything on my heart from this 10 day window of October 16-25, going to Cambodia for the Miessence leadership retreat and then taking three extra days to visit the part of India where a dear friend used to live a few years…

Chemical Maze

Growing numbers of people today are concerned about potentially harmful synthetic ingredients in food, personal care products, and household cleaning products.  And rightly so. There are over 12,000 synthetic chemical ingredients used in the personal care industry alone – many of which haven’t been fully studied over long periods of time to prove safety.  Some…

Cleaning Love

We arrived here in the Black Country (just west of Birmingham in England) on 11 March.  After staying at the church’s community centre and cafe for 5 weeks, we moved into a rental house in mid April and our furniture arrived mid May – after 10 months of transition, it felt so good to have our beds…
