Teleseminar Feedback

April 11, 2013 by laceyswartz 62 Comments

I haven’t posted in the past two weeks because I’ve been super busy getting everything set up for this great teleseminar on probiotics…

Wow!  Thank you Katie and Czerral for such a wonderful call tonight!  I really have to go back and listen to the recording again.  So many great insights.  And some new ideas to research and explore.  Good stuff!

This is just a super quick post in response to one of our wonderful attendees, regarding the raffle for the free tub of InLiven…

“Just a thought…not everyone is on facebook or twitter. This makes the raffle inaccessible to us with limited social-media outlets.  Thanks for hosting this teleseminar!!”

You’re right!  SO sorry I hadn’t thought of that!

OK, so for those who are not on Facebook or Twitter or Pinterest, here is a way for you to get an entry into the raffle!

Leave your feedback on the teleseminar in the comments section below, then click back over here to add your entry onto the Rafflecopter widget.  🙂

Cheers!

Cambodia Report

I’ve been home for nearly two weeks, and I’m just not sure how to communicate everything on my heart from this 10 day window of October 16-25, going to Cambodia for the Miessence leadership retreat and then taking three extra days to visit the part of India where a dear friend used to live a few years…

Chemical Maze

Growing numbers of people today are concerned about potentially harmful synthetic ingredients in food, personal care products, and household cleaning products.  And rightly so. There are over 12,000 synthetic chemical ingredients used in the personal care industry alone – many of which haven’t been fully studied over long periods of time to prove safety.  Some…

The teleseminar was great! I called in during dinner with the kids, and was able to listen to the majority of the talk. Good review on some info I know already, and good to learn some new facts.

I could only stay up to listen to about half of the seminar, but what I heard was so amazing! I can’t wait to get the recording and listen to the rest of the information. I appreciate Czerrel taking the time to educate us about this important issue for our health. The main take-away (from the first half, anyway) for me was that the sad state of our industrial food system has left our body’s cells malnourished. What a concept… and I’m thankful we can make strides to rectify it. (by the way, thanks for thinking of those without FB for this entry!)

Yeah, Jennifer, the whole bit about all disease being the malnourishment of cells really makes sense to me, too.

Side note – kudos to your for holding out on FB… it can be a blessing a curse all at the same time. Moderation is key. 😉

Thank you so much for the teleseminar last night. I learned a lot – took two pages worth of notes and plan to listen again to catch things I missed the first time around. Czerral gave an amazing amount of information. Thank you to each of you – Lacey, Katie, and Czerral for taking time to help us learn about better nutrition.

I loved the info in the teleseminar, that about eczema being especially important for me to pass along to my daughter. I’ve been reading a lot over the past year on the WAPF website, so the mention of leaving dairy out of my diet was disheartening. Overall, it makes so much sense about the pre-biotics and pro-biotics, what to look for on lables, etc. Very good information.

So glad you found the info helpful, Abby. As a raw milk advocate myself (though in limited use, we don’t do a lot of dairy – we maybe go through 1/2-1 gallon per week between all 6 members of my family), I’m eager to explore that http://www.notmilk.com site more when I get a chance, and actually followed up with Czerral on the ‘no dairy’ topic a bit after the call…

He said, “Bottom line is if you are happy with your approach to health and it works for you then you are doing it right.” But if one is continuing to struggle with things like eczema or what have you, it can be worth experimenting with eliminating the dairy, I think. I do hear over and over how many people have also seen problems resolve by cutting out dairy, and it makes sense to me that it’s intended for baby cows…

I suspect, it’s a) a matter of people needing different things in some cases, and b) as with most things, balance, variety, and moderation. A friend of mine is a nutritional counselor and she’s very big on no dairy also – unless, she says, it’s raw and in moderation. …

Always more to research and explore! 🙂

could only hear part of it. it was so full of information, and the stuff about dairy in particular i found challenging, but i bet are very true, ie dairy can be really bad for your gut!

Hi greenhills. 🙂 Yeah, see my comments to Abby above on the dairy thing. I’m definitely sold on avoiding all conventional, pasteurized (let alone the antibiotic-filled) milk. But, at this point in my research/journey, I do think some raw dairy in moderation can have it’s place for some people… But I’m totally open to reading other opinions too. Very interested to check out that notmilk.com site some more when I get a chance. The quick glance I saw on their raw milk link started out with concerns over the dangerous bacteria that can be found in it – which is true. But, for example, our farmers are SUPER clean and take extra lab testing precautions above the PA requirements to make sure their raw milk is free of the bad bugs… So, I trust them 100% – and again, we only drink a little bit per person per week anyway. I haven’t had a chance to read the full article on that site yet, but I’m curious to see if the author goes into the concerns for raw milk beyond the bad bacteria potential… We shall see – again, always more to learn! 🙂

Hi kcnbella, thanks so much for the feedback. I hope you know there’s totally ZERO pressure to buy anything.

Everyone makes a living somehow – some through general consulting (or whatever professional service they offer – teacher, doctor, lawyer, skilled labor…), some through product development and sales, some through a mix of both – hopefully offering products that align with and fully support their knowledge and personal choices in such matters and can truly help and benefit society in some way. 🙂

Ultimately, I’ve always appreciated both Miessence’s commitment to educate on the broader principles (so you can more carefully evaluate ANY brand/choices – which is why I feel so comfortable being a Rep for them, because they are so not the stereotypical sales pressure approach, but genuine education and service minded), AND at the same time provide truly organic product solutions for those who do happen to want/need/be looking for them.

I truly hope you got at least one bit of helpful info from the call, even if you have no interest in the particular products – that’s totally fine. 🙂

found this very insightful, it almost seems like inliven is the “new” multivitamin which got me thinking… i wonder which of the two czerral might think is more important– inliven or a multivitamin. Put differently, because I’d really like to try inliven… while taking inliven, is it necessary/beneficial to also take a multivitamin? Both are pricey which is part of the equation.

Hi Audrey, good question. Czerral is very against synthetic vitamin supplements, pills, capsules etc. And the more I’ve researched in a variety of places, the more I’ve come to agree with him that we should be getting our nutrition from real foods – not synthetic, isolated, fractionated, “multi-vitamin” (or mineral) supplements. Here is a great, simple overview article, on the synthetic vitamin issue… http://drbenkim.com/articles-vitamins.html
Let me know if that’s helpful or not. Cheers! 🙂

I know the raffle is over (and I was able to enter) but just have to say thank you for the wonderful opportunity to learn more, both about these particular probiotics (I’m convinced and will be utilizing the Lifestyle discount!) and about our bodies in general and the environment they need. So insightful and fascinating! I really appreciate you and Katie and the goals that you have as well. Having just read your ‘About’ page, I LOVE knowing what KV stands for! So beautiful, as a fellow believer who thinks Christians should be some of the most concerned for these things.

Also, I found it interesting when I stopped in at a local health food store yesterday, not one of the probiotics was organic – at least the refrigerated ones. That shocked me and I’m thankful to have seen that!
Thank you all very much for sharing your time and knowledge 🙂

Thank YOU, Cait, for your sweet and encouraging comment. I appreciate it very much and am so glad you found the teleseminar helpful. Yes, it is amazing the things we learn when we start to question and unplug from all the man-made ‘progress’ (that in many respects is doing more harm than good) and begin to tap into the way things were made to work to sustain us. Always more to learn, and I’m more and more blown away by God’s great love and provision for us. 🙂
